The use of white sage smudging for metaphysical use has a smokeless alternative

The popularity of metaphysical science and rituals in recent history have created a problem for onee herb in particular. White Sage. Used by indigenous peoples for many years for sacred rituals, it is now becoming hard for the Native Americans to find Sage for ceremonial use- central to their religion.

To respect cultural and religious traditions- I have chosen to no longer carry and sell white sage smudge sticks. As an alternative (actually a safe one, at that), consider smokeless smudge spray. That is just as effective for the cleansing abs purification that you use smudge sticks for. It includes essential oil of Sage, clear quartz, Himalayan Salt as well as other oils that carry protection, cleansing and specific reasons for use. So- it is my opinion that forc

metaphysical use, it is is actually a better choice.

Another option is to consider using another type of herbal smudge. Below is an article that further provides information about the overharvesting of white Sage leaving sacred ceremonial use of it difficult.

At Sun and Stars, along with ensuring all products are sourced from ethical mines or sites, using plant based materials and eliminating waste, this is really important. Thanks for understanding.
